About Me

I was born in the south of France in 1978. I've spent most of my life living and working in the area of big town Lyon (South/East of France). In spring 2011, however, I moved to the country for a healthier life, (although more complicated work-wise). A move back to Lyon is on the horizon 2015/2016 for professional reasons.

I wrote poems and songs as a teenager but it's not until I discovered the fabulous world of fanfiction that I understood writing was more to me. I had find my way. I wrote over 70 fan fics over the course of six years (2001-2007) before focusing solely on my own writing.

Late November 2011, I self-published an (intrigue-)romance novel entitled When the River Flows out of its Bed, under my pen name Gaëlle Cathy (which is simply my first and middle name, in case you're wondering).

Late 2012, I've self-published on Smashwords/Amazon a urban fantasy of over 500,000 words, entitled Legacy. It is an adaptation of my longest and most epic fanfiction which was named "Chaos Doesn't Bleed". Written between 2005 and 2007. The adaptation also took me several years to complete. I used the pen name GC Lehane (Lehane being the family name of my favorite recurring character from my fanfiction fandom (i.e. Buffy the Vampire Slayer) (although the family name was never mentioned in the show).

In July 2013, I had the great honor of signing with Affinity Ebooks, NZ for my third novel Fire and Ice, which was released in February 2014.

I self-published my new novel, One Breath at a Time, on May 20th, 2015, a deep story, really close to my heart. Affinity and I parted ways so I self-published a revised version of Fire and Ice on August 1st.

I will publish my new novel, That Week in Acapulco, on December 2015. The book will have a bonus story entitled Happy New Life (aka Emma's Story)

Apart from writing, my passions are cats and music. I'm part of animal protection associations. I'm also a vegan/vegetarian.I love to read, both on paperback and on my Kindle. I also really enjoy walking through the little paths in the mountains around me.

I keep reading this over and over ( 5 times now) and each time I pick up something new about. That's why I love rereading books. After the first time you know the story. I start to notice the characters more gaining a deeper understand of them.
